Lingkar Sosial Indonesia (LINKSOS) and Yayasan SHEEP Indonesia (YSI) have the initiative to work together in an effort to plan the expansion of the Inclusive Family Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center) campaign through collaboration between institutions. YSI recognises that LINKSOS, which has the goal of realising respect, protection and respect for the rights of persons with disabilities, has a direction that is also being carried out by YSI in the programme to strengthen the inclusive primary health care system.
According to Ken Kertaning Tyas, Chairperson of LINKSOS, in the Disability Service Unit (ULD) of Lawang Sub-district, both the Posyandu Disabilitas introduced by LINKSOS in Malang District in 2019 and the Inclusive Family Posyandu currently developed by SHEEP Indonesia Foundation in North Lombok and Central Sulawesi, have similar goals. Posyandu Disability has developed in several locations in East Java and across Indonesia with a mission to become a national health service that expands to all regions of the country and creates health, empowerment and inclusion. Meanwhile, Posyandu Keluarga Inclusion focuses on strengthening and improving the quality of inclusive health services at Puskesmas (Public health center).
In this collaboration, both parties emphasise:
1. Development of guidelines / modules for the implementation of disability posyandu and / or inclusion family posyandu
2. Dissemination and internalisation of the concept of disability posyandu services and or inclusion family posyandu at the regional and national levels.
3. Networking of disability posyandu and/or inclusive family posyandu at the regional and national level
4. Encourage policies at the central/regional level on the implementation of Disability Posyandu and or Inclusive Family Posyandu.
From the various models initiated by each organisation, lessons will be learned that are useful for strengthening inclusive primary health care systems not only at the village or puskesmas level, but also at a higher level with the support of various stakeholders. This issue will be an interesting discussion and will become a broader movement based on what is actually implemented in the field.
