The comparative study, which took place on Thursday (04/08/22), focused on learning related to the production and marketing of UMKM products.
Comparative study activities are divided into two sessions. In the first session, participants (members of the partner UMKM group) learned about honey and coffee processing techniques starting from the process of making stup boxes (artificial beehives), breaking colonies, providing feed to harvesting procedures for honey and history, the process of selecting beans, to post-harvest processing for Arabica coffee products. In the second session, participants learned related to product marketing and the management of halal certification by Mrs Warni's as a companion to the halal product process of North Lombok regency and how to collaborate on the existing tourism potential (beaches, waterfalls etc.) with products owned by UMKM s so that later coffee or honey shops will appear that can be consumed and become souvenirs for tourists.
The comparative study activity is a follow-up and practice of marketing &digital marketing training activities that have previously been carried out by the UMKM group. Furthermore, comparative study activities will be routinely carried out in order to be a means of learning directly with the main actors of the business, making it easier for group members to adopt knowledge, technology and innovation in creating high-quality products.
