Located at SMPN 4 Balaesang, Lombonga Village, on Thursday (06/01/22) the SHEEP Indonesia Foundation conducted PEM socialization activities and education about disaster risk reduction (DRR) to 41 students and junior high school students 04. for students and students of SMPN 04 in addition to the standard curriculum that they study regularly.
These students are the beneficiaries of YSI's DRR education because they are part of the community in Lombonga Village and need knowledge about it. Socialization and education also provide an understanding of the actions that must be taken when a disaster occurs, especially in the evacuation process, managing aid and collecting data on residents/refugees to using technology to obtain and distribute information.
In addition to insight into the threat of disasters around them, gathering points, and evacuation routes, they are also given information about what PEM is and its function and the mechanism for its use in an emergency and under normal conditions, so that they will understand how PEM will function and what they hope to transform information into. other. From this socialization, students gain knowledge about PEM and disaster risk reduction so that they can play a role and contribute to strengthening preparedness in the Lombonga area.
