The Community Evacuation Center (PEM) building, hamlet IV, Lombonga Village has entered the process of foundation casting. The casting activity which lasted for 1 day on Monday (31/01/22) was jointly supervised by the SHEEP Indonesia Foundation, Lombongan community members and the village government.
Synergy and community involvement is manifested in the use of artisans who come from local communities totaling 49 people (consisting of 15 main artisans and laborers, and an additional 34 artisans and laborers). This activity was coordinated by the Lombonga Village PEM Development Team. In addition, the form of community contribution can be seen from the provision of logistics for all 55 development teams. The contribution is self-help from the residents as a form of their concern in building their own Community Evacuation Center. Citizen participation in the casting process is also expected to be part of increasing the sense of ownership of the entire Lombonga Village community over the PEM building so that in the future every citizen has an interest in maintaining and reviving the building.
Other contributions are also realized by providing land on a grant basis, obtaining permits, and assisting in the development process with the active involvement of the PEM Development Team; because the management of PEM will be the responsibility of the community and the village.
