In strengthening and encouraging the role of the village disaster preparedness team (TSBD) in working in the village of Santong Mulia, a disaster mitigation system is encouraged at the village level as part of the policies and operational standards for disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiated at the village level.
One of the institutionalizations of these regulations was carried out in an activity that took place at the village hall of Santong Mulia on Thursday (27/01/22) attended and in collaboration between the SHEEP Indonesia Foundation and the Village Government, the Village Disaster Preparedness Team (TSBD), Village Midwives, Karang taruna cadets, the Village Representative Body, and the local community. The presence of the community as participants is an educational effort as well as to know and provide input in the preparation of village-level DRR policies so that they can be immediately legalized by the village head and become a reference in implementing disaster mitigation action plans.
This activity is also a follow-up to the Disaster Risk Assessment (KRB) that has been prepared and owned by the village so far. With the planning of activities related to disaster mitigation efforts, the Village Government also has a policy basis and is able to regulate, and realize capacity building for the village disaster preparedness team and compile related documents for the creation of a disaster-resilient village in Santong Mulia.
