The Participatory Rural Study (PRA) was also conducted in the Sipora area, Mentawai for Matobe village, South Sipora, Mentawai Regency. In compiling the study, one of the things to do is identify food potential and compile a map of local food potential that is around then place it on a map that has been provided by the facilitator according to the position and location of each participant's house.
The activity which was held on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Matobe Village, South Sipora District, Mentawai Islands Regency involved 38 people (M: 23, F: 15) consisting of various stakeholders in this case the Village Government, members of the Village Consultative Body ( BPD), religious leaders, community leaders, youth organizations, management of village-owned enterprises, PKK members, and representatives of OMB members Obak Simeruk.
This result is a complete part of a rural participatory study carried out with 9 methods, namely: Identification of food potential in maps, Data on water sources, garden sketches, change trend charts, Life Cycle, Seasonal Calendar, Venn diagrams, Scoring and Problem collection. The results of the PRA will later become an illustration for YSI Sipora to focus on and base decisions on developing food self-reliance programs in Mentawai Regency.
