Located in Bangga Village, South Dolo Subdistrict, Sigi Regency on Monday (25/10/21) has been held a ceremonial event laying the first stone of the construction of a Community Evacuation Center (PEM).The stone laying was symbolically carried out by Martin Dennise as a representative of YSI, Chief Executive officer of BPPBD Sigi, and Police Chief of South Dolo Sector and attended by the Bangga Village Government, PMPB, as well as the South Dolo District government as well as various elements of the community.
PEM building in Bangga village adapts the model of Lombo and Tambi traditional houses which are home to Kaili and Lore tribes. The building consisting of 2 floors and open space will be built on an area of 2520 m². PEM development is expected to be a strategic point to provide protection to the community, especially (vulnerable groups) in disaster emergency situations as well as space to learn and increase capacity related to disaster risk reduction to realize Bangga as a disaster resilient village.
Development not only has an impact on disaster risk reduction in Bangga village but also becomes a job clearing for the local community because artisans are taken from Bangga village community. In addition to laying the first stone is also done cutting chickens as a form of reject bala in the process of PEM development to be advanced from all obstacles.
The Regent of Sigi represented by the Chief Executive Officer (BPPBD) of Sigi Regency, Asrul Repadjori expressed his appreciation for YSI's concern for the people of Sigi Regency."Personally and on behalf of the Sigi Regency Government I express my deepest gratitude to all those who participated in the construction of this community evacuation center building" said Asrul Repadjori.
