Wahyu Wibisono
Wahyu Wibisono is a social and environmental activist with approximately 25 years of experience working in social and humanitarian initiatives. He has extensive experience in grassroots community organizing, community empowerment, and strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations in the areas of organizational management and disaster response across several regions in Indonesia. He also has experience facilitating the use and application of appropriate simple technologies in communities supported by YSI.
Coordinator of the Climate Change Commission (KPI)
Among his contributions are the development of practical community facilitation tools, including simple modules on community organizing for facilitators and grassroots organizations, as well as the adaptation of educational games designed to encourage critical thinking within communities and improve public understanding of disaster-related issues.
Wahyu Wibisono has previously worked as a field staff member in several areas of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and has held various managerial positions, including Coordinator of the UPKM CD Bethesda Training Center, Flores Area Manager, Project Manager for several community empowerment and disaster management projects, Treasurer of YSI, Coordinator of the Empowerment and Advocacy Commission, Coordinator of the Climate Change Commission, and Vice Chairperson of the YSI Board/Vice Director of YSI.
Currently, Wahyu Wibisono serves as the Coordinator of the Climate Change Commission at YSI. In this role, he is responsible for managing the Climate Change Commission and overseeing programs related to food management, water management, and spatial planning issues that have been established within YSI.
