Ikbal Herdiansyah
Ikbal Herdiansyah is a graduate of the Political Science and Government Studies Program at Diponegoro University. He has a strong interest in community empowerment, sustainable development, local food sovereignty, and community capacity strengthening. Throughout his academic journey and fieldwork experience, Ikbal has actively engaged with diverse community groups and participated in social initiatives focused on community development.
Spatial Planning Management Staff
Since beginning his professional career in 2021, Ikbal has developed expertise in community facilitation, social data analysis, program documentation, and local food development policy studies. He is also a certified drone pilot, which supports his work in field documentation, spatial mapping, and visual data collection for programmatic and research purposes. His combination of field experience, analytical capacity, and technical skills has become a valuable asset in supporting social and community development initiatives.
Currently, Ikbal serves as Spatial Planning Staff at the Climate Change Commission of Yayasan SHEEP Indonesia. In this role, he is responsible for conducting spatial planning policy analysis and advocating for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation (DRR/CCA)-oriented spatial planning policies in Indonesia. During his tenure, Ikbal was involved in the emergency response efforts for the 2021 Mount Semeru eruption, which provided him with direct experience in humanitarian work and assisting disaster-affected communities.
At present, Ikbal is also actively supporting communities as an Area Manager in a local food system self-reliance program in Mentawai Islands Regency. In addition to field facilitation, he has contributed to several activities, including the development of project guideline books, baseline data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics, and policy analysis related to local food systems in three regencies.
