Hariyoso
Hariyoso is an acupuncture practitioner who studied at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Satya Wacana Christian University. His expertise in acupuncture has continued to grow through extensive learning and research on medicinal plants across several program areas supported by Yayasan SHEEP Indonesia.
Coordinator of the Primary Health Care Commission (KPKP)
His long-standing experience in community-based health development and traditional medicine became an important asset, particularly when YSI began organizing communities in rural areas. His research on the benefits of medicinal plants was later developed into a first-aid approach for disaster-affected communities, both during emergency response and recovery phases. The results of this initiative were further transformed into a software application entitled “Medicinal Plants for Primary Health Care” and a book titled “Herbal Remedies: Kaili, Sasak & Sundanese Communities.”
Currently, Hariyoso serves as the Coordinator of the Primary Health Care Service Commission under the Primary Health Care System Strengthening and Inclusive Family Posyandu Program, which focuses on strengthening community resilience in facing disaster risks and climate change impacts.
