SHEEP Indonesia Foundation endeavours to build post-disaster community resilience in Central Sulawesi that is sustainable and has the involvement of all parties. One of the efforts is to work together with Yayasan Ekonesia and Bonebula as partners to oversee advocacy efforts and monitoring of achievements, improving health status, and improving the post-disaster economy. For this reason, on Monday (20/02/23) YSI discussed and consolidated the programme to discuss the focus of this collaboration. The initial discussion was to solidify and obtain details of the programme status, develop a schedule and strategy in a focused direct observation in the field (Central Sulawesi).
The next step was to give an overview, the results of the assessment and the status of each village and the achievements so that this could be done by the 2 YSI Partners. This is the basis for the partners together with the YSI Area Manager to then make observations. The results of these observations are used to develop plans in the field which will be presented at the programme workshop and become the basis for strategic decision-making. The implementation strategy in Central Sulawesi this time is somewhat different, the mentoring process is supported by CSOs (re: ekonesia and bonebula) so that in its implementation it is necessary to carry out a consolidation process and a clear division of roles between YSI and CSOs clearly, these efforts are made to better identify the profile of the assisted villages and existing work programs. This also supports a more effective and efficient transition process.
Martin Dennise as the Central Sulawesi project manager at the end of the activity said "Through this activity, it is hoped that YSI partner CSOs who will continue mentoring in villages that have been assisted by YSI in a sustainable manner, and get an overview of the status of the program. In addition, partners can develop schedules and strategies for making observations in the field." he concluded.
