In an effort to increase the capacity of Business Management in the productive economy of the Community; 22 representatives of members of the MSME group partnering with SHEEP Indonesia north Lombok Region conducted a comparative study activity at the NTB provincial packaging center and tapona food production house in Bilebante Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency. The comparative study, which took place on Thursday (08/09/22), focused on learning related to the standards for making labels and packaging for MSME products as well as strategies for integrating between Tourism Villages and MSMEs. The packaging center was chosen as an institution that is able to provide an overview to the group regarding good product packaging standards according to Indonesian national standards (SNI) and Tapona food was chosen because it has the same business group characteristics as SHEEP partner MSMEs and has been proven to develop businesses and integrate them with tourist villages.
Comparative study activities are divided into two sessions. In the first session, participants (members of the partner MSME group) learned about how techniques and what elements must be present in a product packaging so that in the future they can produce products that are in accordance with the standards of the NTB Provincial Industrial Service; in the material presented by Mr. Firman as the person in charge of the packaging center of the industrial service conveyed what are the elements that are standard in a product packaging and also discussions related to the advantages and what things must be improved from the product packaging that has been welcomed by the group. In the second session, participants learned about the strategy of integrating between Tourism Villages and MSMEs by Mrs. Zaenab as the Coordinator of Bilebante Tourism Village in the presentation delivered, Mrs. Zaenab gave a sharing on how to collaborate on existing tourism potential (beaches, waterfalls etc.) with products owned by MSMEs and how to take care of business group administration to be able to produce product innovations integrated with tour packages such as tourism coffee and the center of the chip industry (which is one of the group's flagship products).
Business concept learning activities are a follow-up and practice of marketing &digital marketing training activities that have previously been carried out by msME groups. Furthermore, business concept learning activities will be routinely carried out in order to become a means of learning directly with the main business actors, making it easier for group members to adopt knowledge, technology and innovation in creating high-quality products.
