Monday (25/07/22) at the Toaya Vunta Village office, Sindue District, Kab.Donggala, Central Sulawesi; SHEEP Indonesia, represented by Martin Dennise (field coordinator) and Okran Togimpo (field staff), held a discussion and coordination to discuss achievements and strategy development together with the cadres of the Toaya Vunta village posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Center). Based on the recommendations of the results of research and monitoring on the implementation of family Posyandu (which was carried out by YSI with FK-KMK UGM) efforts need to be made to reduce the pain rate in the village from the data obtained by posyandu cadres in the implementation so far. To help analyze the reduction of the pain rate, YSI explained the results of the monitoring as a basis for discussion so that there are future strategy efforts that can be agreed upon for future planning.
The discussion participants consisted of 4 representatives of health workers (nakes) puskesmas Sheikh Ahmad Pue Lasadindi Toaya, 8 representatives of the village government (pemdes) Toaya Vunta, 2 Village Health Workers, Midwives and Nurses, 8 health cadres, 2 Cadres of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), and 1 human development cadre (KPM). In the discussion, the findings were also presented that stunting and non-communicable diseases in the elderly are one of the diseases most suffered by the people of Toaya village. This makes a joint conclusion that the cadres will create a priority program of mentoring for families with stunted children and mentoring and counseling for the elderly.
In addition, the discussion also resulted in a technical continuation by creating village discussion forums in small groups to realize educational media and increase knowledge related to parents and children. In addition, in small groups, there were also sharing and consultation sessions about local food that has high nutritional value, discussions on family and environmental behavior, as well as plans for implementing mentoring & counseling for the elderly with stakeholders (health workers, BKKBN, and posyandu cadres) involved in the forum.
