SHEEP Indonesia in the Sabu Raijua region has again strengthened the campaign on local food together with partners and the community by installing billboards at several crowded points in 8 assisted villages in the Sabu Raijua region. The local food campaign aims to make people aware and invite people to get to know the diversification/diversity of local food and reduce dependence on food from outside, especially rice that is not local food in the region.
In addition, the campaign strategy through the installation of billboards is carried out in areas with high rice consumption but the production and availability of small rice. Whereas if we realize the potential of local food such as sorghum, black green beans, sugar shabu, corn, and peanuts are more widely available and can be consumed to meet people's daily food needs. This is what needs to be continuously conveyed and understood by the community in order to be more accustomed to local potential and develop processing that is able to enrich this potential.
With the installation of local food billboards, it is hoped that people passing by can get used to seeing and finally arouse the desire for consumption by realizing that the nutritional content is no less high, and has a much higher selling value than rice, especially sorghum. One of the campaigns through billboards is an effort to encourage joint action carried out with OMB, the Village Government, and also the Sabu Raijua Regency government and in addition to the medium of advertising playback through radio and calendar distribution.
