The "family Posyandu" which was initiated and re-established recently by YSI, was carried out to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates in Central Sulawesi (especially Palu, Sigi, and Donggala areas). In this regard, the SHEEP Indonesia Foundation has built synergies and collaborations with the Central Sulawesi BKKBN.
The collaboration began with the signing of an agreement between the two parties at the Santika hotel, Palu on Tuesday (07/12/2021). This strategy is expected to be a joint movement, mutual support and a form of synergy between parties to support public health while at the same time realizing an effective modeling of family posyandu in Central Sulawesi.
In the future, YSI and BKKBN will play an active role in encouraging public understanding and awareness and all health components to implement family posyandu to improve personal health and prevent stunting with family control. Health is not only determined by medical officers, but how we and other family members are able to understand and recognize the needs of our bodies, maintain our bodies so that we don't just depend on medical assistance as the only alternative. In the family posyandu, the community is invited to have an awareness of the right to health for themselves, their families and their environment, especially during this pandemic.
