In an effort to improve the health status of the community after the disaster, SHEEP Indonesia Foundation initiated a modeling simulation of the “Posyandu Keluarga” in Enu and Toaya Vunta villages, Donggala, Central Sulawesi. The “Posyandu Keluarga” modeling simulation was carried out to provide participants with an understanding of the concept of “Posyandu Keluarga”, the flow of “Posyandu Keluarga” and the obstacles faced in realizing the “Posyandu Keluarga” and to make a follow-up plan for the implementation of the “Posyandu Keluarga” modeling.
The activity started on Wednesday (01/12/21) at the orchid posyandu, hamlet 1, Enu Village and lasted for 2 days; the first day there were training activities and simulations of “Posyandu Keluarga” in Enu and Toaya Vunta villages; the second day, a simulation activity of “Posyandu Keluarga” was carried out in Enu village. The activity was attended by 3 enu village cadres, Syekh Pue Lasadindi Toaya Health Center,3 people consisting of elderly program holders, infants/toddlers, village government representatives, and 1 village midwife.
The " Posyandu Keluarga " modeling simulation was applied because there were still many posyandu in assisted villages that had not implemented " Posyandu Keluarga ", therefore modeling was necessary to increase awareness and participation of the assisted village communities.
YSI encourages public understanding and all health components to implement "family posyandu" to improve personal health with family control. Health is not only determined by medical personnel, but how we and other family members are able to understand what our bodies need, what enters and maintains our bodies before we need medical help. At least the family has an awareness of the right to health, especially during this pandemic.
