"Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile" said Mr. Rev. Humphrey as the Chair Person of SHEEP Indonesia Foundation on SHEEP Indonesia 5th anniversary. That slogan is originally said by Albert Einstein and then adopted as SHEEP Indonesia's motto in expressing its mandate. Friday, 30 May 2010, SHEEP celebrated its 5th anniversary. There are many dynamic came along its mandate implementation on People's empowerment and advocacy on health, education, sustainable environment and peace. SHEEP Indonesia has formulated its mandate into several strategic programs. Emergency & Rehabilitation Response Post Tsunami in Aceh, Empowerment Marginalized People & Peace Building in East Aceh, Community-based Disaster Risk Management in Central Java, Empowerment of People with HIV/AIDS in Central Java, and People's empowerment in Jogjakarta. Many things have been done as well as things have been achieved. However, SHEEP should always be "mulat sarira angrasa wani". A Javanese idiom which means self-aware, and always reflect back to what we have done. Part of its reflection, SHEEP Indonesia conducted The Reflection & Celebration Night, together with all partners on its 5th birthday.

They even hope that SHEEP will also facilitate them in Sukolilo Sub District in dealing with some real problems, such as: traditional market relocation, forest and water source exploration and people access to health.

During the dinner, all of attendants were having informal conversation to each other. After the dinner and reflection from partner organization were finished, the moment was ended by previewing a short documentary movie of all program implementation which have done by SHEEP during five years. Started from Emergency Response Post Tsunami Disaster in West Aceh as its first response, until the empowerment programs in Central Java, Yogyakarta and East Aceh which have been still going.
The 20' of the documentary movie was not for showing of what SHEEP has done, but it is as part of SHEEP's reflection. By watching that movie, we would always be remained of "who is SHEEP?" "What is SHEEP?"; "Why SHEEP should exist?" and "where SHEEP will carry on its mandate?" Spirit and values which determined since the beginning should be maintained and should not be easily satisfied with current achievement. The road in future is still far away and very challenging. There are more marginalized people who are unfairly treated. SHEEP Indonesia should always keep their values of simplicity and inclusiveness, any time and any where. Thanks to all of partners both individual and organizational who always support the existence of SHEEP. Peace Greeting&..
