Geographically, Pati Regency is passed by Pantura line which has trans-provincial spot of land transportation. Pati also has eight localization of "red-light" area that spread out in six sub districts. Besides, it has 24 hotels and 22 karaoke places which considered as vulnerable spots, where sex and drug transaction are done. Other potential of HIV/AIDS transmission is high mobility of people who work as transnational/ national labor (Hongkong, Taiwan, Middle East, Malaysia, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Batam and Papua). There was an article published by Kompas (national news letter) in 2005, saying that Pati Regency as resource area of woman trafficking in Indonesia.
